18 Months

This muddy kid had his 18 month check up the other day.
He is growing up to fast.
Weight: 28.5 lbs 70%
Height: 34 1/2 inches 97%
Boy do I love this kid, he is one of the funniest kids that I know. He is super smart and talks like crazy. Today he said, " I a silly baby." and counted to 3.
He loves life, he gets a gets a little crazy if he has been in the house to long. He loves to be outside driving his tractors, swinging and going down the slide.
We love you Tysie.

Remember this guy?

Remember Teddy Ruxpin? This is the new updated version. Grandma Mortensen got him for
the boys for Christmas. They have both love sitting down and listening to his stories. Tyson calls him baby. Except I think he may be teaching Dylan bad things. The other day Dylan had all of his cars lined up and crashed a train through them and said," I killed them." I asked where he learned that and he said from Teddy. I don't think it came from Teddy, I think he was the closest thing around to blame. So we had to have a little talk about not killing things.
The boys love him, thanks Grandma.

Two Birthdays and a Marathon

I just wanted to wish my girlfriend Tana a happy 30th birthday, and wish my niece Bentley a happy 1st birthday.
My sister-in-law Ann Marie ran her 1st marathon today. Wow, what an accomplishment. She also used it as an opportunity to help raise money for their cousin Susan's foundation. What a great cause. Good job Ann Marie, we love you and are so proud of you.

I'm a princess!

Yesterday while I was folding laundry Dylan was playing and kept laughing and pointing at pictures in the room. I couldn't understand what he was saying, I kept saying "What?" and he would just laugh and finally I heard the word princess. I asked him what he was talking about, and he pointed at one of our wedding pictures and said, "My mommy's a princess." and kept laughing. He thought I was a princess because of my dress. Funny kid.

Little Helper!

Tyson is in love with my vacuum. Lately I can't get it out without having him go crazy to help use it. It works out perfectly though because I can make the device shorter and he can vacuum the tile for me.
I hope he never grows out of this.

Dylan's a Sunbeam!

Yes that's right, Dylan is a Sunbeam. We have been prepping him all week for it. I thought we might get away without any crying, boy was I wrong. Poor kid, he is just not good in new situations or old ones for that matter. He didn't ever get used to nursery. Marty stayed with him for a while in opening exercises and by the time they got to class he was OK, thank goodness. We can only hope next week will be better.
He came out of class wearing a crown on his head, forgot to take a picture sorry, and I said, "Oh, nice crown Dylan," He said, "No, I'm a king." Oh sorry.
We have been trying to give Dylan more responsiblity around the house and trying to get him to pull up his own underwear after he goes to the bathroom and such. Today I was asking him to help put laundry away and he was whining about it, I told him he could help me because he was a big boy now because he goes to Sunbeams. He was very adament and clear that he is not a big boy, that he is still little.
