First Quad Ride

It was such a beautiful day today, we had to take advantage. Tyson has never been on a quad ride with the family so it was the perfect time to go out. I think he loved it, he talked and jabbered for the whole ride. This is one of my favorite family activities, I haven't been on a ride since a week before Tyson was born. I love spending time out in the forest, it is so peaceful.

Project

We have had a busy week this week, while my brother-in-law was in town for the arrival of their new baby, he offered to help Marty pour some concrete at our house.
It turned out so nice, I am excited for Dylan to have more space to ride his tricylce.
Thanks Nathan!

To crawl of not to crawl?

Thinking about crawling and......
crawling.
I'm not sure that I am ready for this.

New Nephew

This is my new nephew, he was born on Wedesday the 16th. Isn't he so cute. This is my baby sister Janelle's first baby. We are so happy he is here and that he is healthy. This makes 18 grandkids for my parents.

Rebuilding a small piece of history.

This is the original fireplace and chimney.
This is my dad, working on the chimney.

Last weekend we went to my parents house in Clay Springs to help with a family project. My great grandparents staked claim on some land in Clay Springs in the early 1900s and they built a small homestead and raised their 13 children. One of those children was my Granddad Perkins, our family will celebrate his 100th birthday next June. My dad and his brothers and sisters who were raised on the same land, decided to rebuild the log cabin before the big birthday celebration next year. So last weekend my dad, Marty, some of my uncles and a few cousins got together and put most of the walls up. There was alot of heavy lifting with the logs, so there were just guys working on the house. My aunts and girl cousins came a few hours later with a nice lunch for all the guys. Here are just a few pictures of the cabin.
